Flannel Friday: If You See a Little Monster

Back real fast with another fun flannel!  This one went over really well with my toddler crowd.  Many thanks to Mel for hosting the round-up this week!  Don’t forget to check out the rest of the round-up here.

First I laid out all the monsters and we talked about which one was smallest, biggest and medium-sized.  Then we patted our knees to the beat and sang away!

tune of “Mary Had a Little Lamb”

If you see a little monster, if you see a little monster

If you see a little monster, wave your hand hello!

If you see a medium monster, if you see a medium monster

If you see a medium monster, wave your hand hello!

If you see a great big monster, if you see a great big monster

If you see a great big monster, run away and hide!

Flannel Friday: I’m a Little Monster

A HUGE thanks to K Leigh over at Storytime ABC’s for the inspiration for this one!  When I saw her adorable polka dot monster I knew I needed one too.  Here he is…

I'm a little monster.gif

And here is her adorable rhyme (with some actions added):

I’m a little monster friendly and bright (point to self, then point to smile)

I won’t give anyone a fright (shake head and wave finger no)

I love polka dots but I have none (hold hands out palm up)

So step right up and give me red ones (hold up red polka dot)

.

I’m a little monster friendly and bright (point to self, then point to smile)

I won’t give anyone a fright (shake head and wave finger no)

I love polka dots but I only have some (hold hands out palm up)

So step right up and give me orange ones (hold up red polka dot)

.

(repeat with other colors)

.

I’m a little monster friendly and bright (point to self, then point to smile)

I won’t give anyone a fright (shake head and wave finger no)

I love polka dots and now I have lots (hold hands out palm up)

Thank you for my colorful spots!
